Launch of bakery equipment division under leadership of Patrick Poles. Subsequent closure and transfer to employees.
Launch of bakery ingredients businesses in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. Subsequently closed Singapore and Malaysia.
Switz takes a majority stake in SFPL cake business Kolkata
Switz buys Tasali cake and rusk business.
DBPL started with an industrial cake factory in Boral, West Bengal.
Nahool and Garameesh brands launched flawlessly to replace the Tasali brand.
New Dammam SM4 cake factory started
3rd party contract manufacturing business started. Bangalore factory for Britannia - India, Sankrail factory for ITC (2010). Boral factory for Britannia (2015)
A major theft by the CFO resulted in criminal conviction. Most of the money recovered and pursuing the rest in courts.
Dawn (USA) joint venture inaugurated producing frozen donut
Samosa leaves re-launched in India through SIPL. A new dough strategy implemented.
Group adds 35,000m of factories in Oman, India and Saudi
Saihat facility of 8000m shut as municipal land lease not renewed after 30 years. Transferred production to newly opened facility SM7 with some hiccups.
Oman distribution restructured with routes reduced by 50%. Profits rebound.
Acquired HERFY rusk factory in Riyadh and their private label business. Completed domination of the bread Rusk business.
50% stake in MILDO Turkey acquired.
Own brands MIO AMORE and WINKIES launched flawlessly to replace franchised MONGINIS brand in India
25% stake in Orba, Turkey acquired.
